Andrew Haggard F.C.A.
Andrew runs the bookkeeping and payroll team.
In addition to being an extremely knowledgeable accountant, Andrew has an attention to detail and a level of care that will ensure that your requirements are met to the highest level.
Andrew qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Chantrey Vellacott in 1995. After qualifying, Andrew joined the Corporate Accounts department at LGT Asset Management. In 1996, he left LGT to pursue entrepreneurial aspirations with Tim.
Andrew lives in Fulham with his wife and children. When he can be drawn away from his garden shed, he has a wide range of sporting interests including the loyal support of Fulham Football Club and the Indianapolis Colts.
Peter Crowther C.T.A.
Peter, who runs the Personal Tax team, has been a tax specialist for over 25 years. He has a broad range of clients – private individuals, sole traders and partnerships - and advises some of the City's top earners.
You can draw considerable comfort from the fact that there is someone at Haggards Crowther with this level of experience and knowledge. Those in the partnership that work on personal tax clients – and that is most of us in January – revert to Peter on technical matters. It means that your tax returns will be correct, and that your questions will get answered.
Peter qualified with the Chartered Institute of Tax in May 1984, and worked in the personal tax department at Chantrey Vellacott before leaving to set up his own practice in 1990. He merged with Tim and Andrew in 2005. With all the experience Peter has, he says he has forgotten more tax laws than he has learnt. We don’t believe him.
When he is not enthusiastically delving through the latest edition of the Red Book (30,000 pages of tax legislation in closely typed print broken only by section references and coffee stains), he relaxes on the beautifully manicured fairways of the Royal Wimbledon Golf Club, where he has done a year as Club Captain and as a teenager he won national junior golf titles. Peter married recently, and rumours that Joyce is fast becoming a golfing widow are of course unfounded.
Tim Haggard A.C.A.
Tim runs the small business team, which prepares year end accounts for limited companies and LLPs.
Tim understands the pressures on small business owners and the need to get the necessary statutory and corporation tax requirements dealt with as quickly and as painlessly as possible, whilst minimising the tax burden for the owners.
Tim qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1991. After qualifying, Tim worked in the specialist departments of Forensic Accounting and Corporate Finance, before leaving KPMG to go follow entrepreneurial pursuits with Andrew in 1996. Whilst at KPMG, he spent a year in Kuwait advising local businesses on making claims to the UN for losses incurred in the 1993 invasion. He also played rugby for Kuwait in the Middle East league, learnt to sail and came home with a hell of a tan: a work-life balance he can only dream of repeating.
Tim lives in Putney with his wife and family and the partnership guard dogs, Teal and Crumble. His interests include rugby (he is a Vice President at Barnes RFC, where he has just finished a 4-year stint as Treasurer), and the art of hitting golf balls a long way, if rarely in the right direction.
